Xiaomi на пути к полной независимости: собственный чипсет, ОС и ИИ

Insiders report that Xiaomi has embarked on the most ambitious phase of its strategy: creating a fully closed ecosystem. This involves developing a smartphone where the processor, operating system, and artificial intelligence will be entirely developed in-house. This move places Xiaomi alongside Apple and Huawei, companies striving to minimize their dependence on Western technologies (Qualcomm and Google).

Unlike previous attempts (such as the Surge S1), the new processor is being designed as a full-fledged flagship chip. Rumors suggest it will be manufactured by TSMC using a 3-nanometer process. Xiaomi aims to optimize the "hardware" for its specific needs, which is expected to achieve better energy efficiency and performance compared to using standard Snapdragon chips.

Although the current HyperOS is still based on Android (AOSP), Xiaomi is working on deeper kernel customization. The ultimate goal is to create a system that operates equally smoothly on smartphones, tablets, and the Xiaomi SU7 series electric vehicles, ensuring seamless data and task transfer.
