Well-known insider Ice Universe has published information about a prototype of the now-canceled Xiaomi 17 Air smartphone. This ambitious project was meant to be Xiaomi's answer to the trend of ultra-thin devices (like the iPhone 17 Air or Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge), but it appears the company has decided to put it on hold.

The prototype has a body thickness of 5.5 millimeters with a 6.59-inch screen and even two cameras in the main module.
