Xbox Loses Chief Gaming AI Officer and Corporate Vice President

Two high-ranking executives are leaving Microsoft. Corporate Vice President (CVP) Lori Wright will step down "in the coming weeks." She handled platform partner engagement and the global development of the Xbox business — nine years at the company, which is long enough to know how things tick. The company is also losing Chief Gaming AI Officer (CG‑AI) Haiyan Zhang. Zhang has been at Microsoft for 13 years and previously held leadership roles at Netflix.

Earlier this February, the industry was shaken by the news of the departures of Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer and Xbox President Sarah Bond. Now, the future of the platform is overseen by Asha Sharma (ex‑CoreAI head) and CCO (Chief Content Officer) Matt Booty.
