Sony fans are glad that games from their console will no longer be released on PC
Sony says it will stop putting its single-player hits on PC and keep those games tied to PlayStation hardware. There is a carve‑out for online titles — e.g., Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, — since those need big pools of players to work.
A PS5-owner survey put numbers to the feeling: 71% backed a move back to exclusives. A lot of respondents — esp. long-time buyers — argued that PC ports watered down the brand and made the console feel less special.
The money argument was blunt: ports brought in only about 1.5% of the ecosystem’s revenue. For that sliver, Sony figured it didn’t make sense to risk annoying the folks who actually buy the hardware. Some will cheer, others will grumble — predictable, but true.
