What everyone was supposed to get is only available in China: the Chinese beta version of ARC Raiders now has a full-fledged PvE mode
The shooter ARC Raiders has picked up a strange new wrinkle in Tencent's closed Chinese tests: a “Peace Agreement” mechanic that turns off automatic player-vs-player damage, effectively turning a match into a PvE round.
It doesn't mean you can quietly backstab anyone. To hit another person you must manually flip the “mutiny” mode — i.e., activate it yourself — and the antenna on your backpack goes bright red, broadcasting your betrayal across the entire map. The result: murder is possible, but obvious.
Meanwhile the Chinese build is also experimenting with two bosses on a single map and heavier resource drops. Western fans are up in arms (esp. those waiting on more content for the international release), arguing these tweaks feel like region-locked extras. Embark Studios has not confirmed whether these PvE experiments will ever leave the Chinese tests.
