Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector unveiled the plan for future updates, including new story DLC

Slitherine's turn-based Battlesector (Warhammer 40K setting) arrived with a campaign starring the Gothic Blood Angels squaring off against the bio-horror Tyranids. DLCs soon piled on, opening up more factions for multiplayer and extra modes, while single-player fans—esp. those who wanted fresh story content—kept waiting.

This year’s Deeds of the Fallen DLC finally delivered: a 12-mission story where the Sisters of Battle (yes, the weapon-wielding nuns) take on a green tide of orks. It’s not the end of the road either; Slitherine updated the roadmap with more content in the pipeline.

There’s a free update due in October (presumably carrying balance tweaks and QoL fixes the game’s had since launch), then a new story DLC slated for Q4 2026, followed by another free update in Q1 2027, and a DLC introducing a new faction in Q2. FYI: those timelines are what the roadmap says.

Since release the game’s kept getting new modes rather than just bug fixes—Daemonic Incursion, Planetary Supremacy, and the roguelite Crusade, which just hit v1.0—so if you’ve been dipping in occasionally, there’s been steady churn of stuff to try.
