Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Season 2 Ends Early as Artist is Drafted into the Military

As reported by Anime News Network, the popular webcomic Solo Leveling: Ragnarok (the sequel to the original Solo Leveling) is going on a long hiatus. The final chapter of the second season was published on January 11, 2026.

Why? Because the comic's artist, Jin, is being drafted into the military. Since military service in South Korea lasts from 18 to 21 months, fans should not expect a continuation before the end of 2027 or the beginning of 2028.

The publisher decided not to change the artist in the middle of the story to preserve the unique visual style that readers have come to love. The studio thanked Jin for his contribution to the development of the universe and wished him a safe service.
