Battlefield 6 Will Give Away the Season 2 Battle Pass for Free, But Not to Everyone
The development team of Battlefield 6 has announced a continuation of its program to compensate players for the inconveniences they faced following the game's problematic launch. At release, users widely reported serious technical issues with the EA App — many couldn't connect to matches due to a launcher error. Although the community quickly found temporary workarounds and the developers later officially fixed the problem, the negative experience left a mark on the game's perception.
Previously, affected players had already received experience bonuses and a free Season 1 battle pass. Now the team is going further. Owners of the Phantom Edition, purchased through the EA App and who encountered the crash on October 10, 2025, will be credited with the Season 2 battle pass. Please note that pass activation may take several hours — instant crediting is not provided.
Additionally, the developers announced a promotion for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. From February 19 to 23, users with Essential tier and above will be able to try Battlefield 6 for free as part of the Free Play Days program. During this period, full access to all maps, modes, and Season 2 content will be available.
