Ubisoft laid off 55 Swedes, including from Massive.
Ubisoft started the year by disbanding the unionized Canadian Ubisoft Halifax, and then decided to slightly reduce its workforce in Sweden: 55 people from Ubisoft Stockholm and Massive were affected.

Back at the end of October, Massive employees were offered to voluntarily change their workplace, using financial and consulting support from the company. The initiative, as GamesIndustry.biz found out, met with some response, but "additional steps" were deemed necessary after "creating a roadmap for the future". The studio will continue developing The Division and the Snowdrop engine.
