Train is breaking through: details of the third season of Battlefield 6
The developers of Battlefield 6 are rolling out a big third season that centers on a reworking of the old Golmud Railway — now called Railway to Golmud. The map has been expanded and reshaped into what's claimed to be the largest play area yet; the most obvious twist: a train that actually moves toward the enemy base, dragging fights along with it (e.g., chokepoints shift as it passes). Expect longer sightlines in some places and sudden melee in others — chaos, if you like that kind of thing.
Patch day is May 12. Among the additions are the L115 and the M16A4 rifles — bolt-action vs. auto, different palettes for mid- and long-range encounters. Ranked matches will be available, plus a new game mode intended to mix up the meta and give players something fresh to argue about.
