Toshihiro Nagoshi confirmed that his new game Gang of Dragon is being created entirely from scratch
Toshihiro Nagoshi, the creator of the famous Yakuza series, announced work on his new project — the game Gang of Dragon. In a New Year's address published on the studio's website, the developer particularly emphasized that every element of the game is being created from scratch: from the concept to the smallest implementation details.
Gang of Dragon is conceived as a deep human drama. The action unfolds in the real-life Tokyo district of Kabukicho, where the fates of outcasts intertwine. Nagoshi notes that the team is investing not only professional experience but also sincere passion into the project — largely thanks to the ardent support of fans worldwide.
"The passion and enthusiasm of fans around the world have been a huge support for our entire team," the address states.
The developers are meticulously working on all components of the game. They strive to recreate the cityscape of Kabukicho as authentically as possible and create unique gameplay. The main goal is to present players worldwide with a finished product that the team can truly be proud of.
A key role in the project is played by actor Ma Dong-seok, known for the films "Train to Busan" and "The Unnamed Gangster." He portrays Shin Ji-son — a member of a Korean crime syndicate. According to the creators' vision, the character will undergo significant internal evolution: by building strong human connections, he will gradually begin to rethink his life priorities and goals.
In terms of gameplay, Gang of Dragon promises a variety of combat options. Players will be able to engage in hand-to-hand fights, use melee and firearms, as well as control various vehicles that can be modified to their liking.
