In New World: Aeternum, There Will Be Even Fewer Restrictions for Players

The team behind New World: Aeternum is loosening a few more rules. If you’ve been poking around Aeternum while it’s spent the last nine months in a sort of maintenance lull, this feels like another nudge toward easier play: past patches already opened up transmogs and trimmed some requirements because the active base is smaller. Some players will clap, others will roll their eyes — depends on taste.

  • The weekly cap for Shadow Crystals will be raised to 100,000 (100k/wk).
  • Daily gypsum gains will be multiplied by 10; amethysts jump from 10 → 100, rubies from 3 → 30, and similar increases apply elsewhere.
  • Inventory gold limit increased to 10 million g.
  • Amazon is adding a permanent double XP bonus — applies to char XP, weapon XP, gathering XP, and upgrade XP.
  • Home-ownership restrictions removed: chars above lvl 55 can buy up to five extra houses.
  • The main storyline will no longer gate access to the Elysian Wilds; you can go there without finishing the main quest.
