There is no Starfield 2.0, but more content for the game will be released.
ARC Raiders developers confirmed that the game has no PvP or PvE lobbies, and all tips on getting into them are pointless
There have long been rumors in the ARC Raiders community about the existence of two types of lobbies: "peaceful" — PvE-oriented, and "aggressive" — PvP-oriented, as well as methods allegedly allowing players to get into the desired type. However, Virgil Watkins, the game's design lead, denied these assumptions in an interview with PC Gamer.
According to him, the matchmaking system is not divided into two strict camps, and the methods devised by players — such as series of matches without shooting other raiders or post-game surveys — actually do not affect matchmaking. The developers intentionally mix players with different play styles to preserve the element of unpredictability and tension, which they consider a key part of ARC Raiders.
"We were genuinely surprised by the spontaneous interactions of players on the planet’s surface. Bringing together a dozen raiders in one game was a real surprise for us," Watkins admitted.
At the same time, the team notes that the balance between PvE and PvP audiences still needs to be found. For example, players have learned to kill bosses like the Matriarch and the Queen too quickly, and these will likely need to be strengthened. Nevertheless, the element of chaos will remain an integral part of the game: mixed lobbies create a unique social dynamic that is hard to find in other projects.
