Still Unreleased Hero Shooter Deadlock Gets New Mode and Six Characters

The competitive shooter Deadlock has been updated — the developers have released a major patch that brought significant changes and many new features to the game. The main additions are a fresh game mode and six new characters.

The innovations are led by the Street Brawl mode. In it, two teams of four players compete, and the essence of the confrontation boils down to a series of short rounds. The team that wins three matches first is victorious. The creators deliberately simplified the equipment purchase system in this mode and completely removed resource farming. This ensures all participants start on equal footing, adding extra dynamism to the matches and making the outcome of battles more predictable.

Along with the new mode, six characters have appeared in Deadlock, which will be introduced into the game gradually — two heroes each week. Among the newcomers are a weapons expert, a necromancer, a werewolf, and a sleepyhead. The order of appearance for these characters will be determined by a vote among players, adding an element of community involvement to the project's development.

Significant changes have also been made to the user interface. The developers have thoroughly reworked a number of key elements: updated damage indicators, modernized health bars, and adjusted timer displays. Furthermore, camera behavior has been revised and the settings menu has been improved. All these adjustments are aimed at making interaction with the game more convenient and intuitive for users.
