The Witcher 3 Remaster for Nintendo Switch 2 will be 43.5 GB in size

Nintendo's eShop listings in Japan indicate that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will require 43.5 GB of free space to install on the Nintendo Switch 2. The updated edition of CD Projekt RED’s action RPG is listed for the Japanese hybrid console under that file-size requirement.

Other recent eShop entries reveal a range of install sizes for games on Nintendo Switch 2:

• The Definitive Edition of Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age — 23.4 GB
• Shinobi: Art of Vengeance — 12 GB
• Sp(L/R)ite — 4.9 GB
• Graveyard Keeper 2 — 780 MB (described as a "lightweight")

A number of upcoming Switch releases also appear relatively small in size, including Kalanoro (3.4 GB), Garfield: Escape From Monday (3 GB), Hack 'n' Stack (2.4 GB) and Distorted: Night Shift Anomalies (2 GB).

An Important Debut

Announced exactly a month ago, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will represent the series’ first appearance on Nintendo Switch 2 in an updated form. The remaster is said to improve various aspects of gameplay beyond just graphical enhancements. While The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt previously reached the original Nintendo Switch through an ambitious port, the more powerful hardware of the new hybrid console is expected to allow developers to deliver noticeably higher image quality, better revealing character visuals and the game world's detail.
