The speedrunning game Echobreaker will be released on August 6
Publisher Weekend Games and studio Upstream Arcade say the speedrunning action title Echobreaker arrives on August 6 for PC (Steam). A demo is already available.
You play a combat-exoskeleton pilot working for TDS Industries, thrown into neon-lit research facilities where the objective is blunt: finish obstacle courses as fast as you can. The world feels tight and tense rather than cinematic.
There are 15 levels, each pitched as a brutal, combat-like trial. Enemies aren't just targets — taking them down grants a brief speed burst; you'll also rely on other tools (e.g., double jump and time manipulation, including "slow-mo"). The developers call it a puzzle about finding risky, time-saving lines — their description, not a sales pitch.
A built-in leaderboard lets you see how you rank; turn on the "ghost" and race against your own run or the global best (vs. others).
