Path of Exile Developers Reveal What Awaits Players After the Keepers Challenge League Ends

The developers of Path of Exile have warned the community about significant changes that will take effect after the Keepers Challenge league concludes. The season finale is scheduled for March 3 at 00:00 Moscow Time.

With the end of the league, the game will undergo a series of transformations. First and foremost, the Breach mechanic will be replaced. The old breaches will be succeeded by updated versions from the 3.27 Keepers of the Flame patch. Starting from Act 6, players will regularly encounter two types of breaches — Unstable Breach and Hive Breach. At the same time, the ability to influence the appearance of specific breach types in your maps using familiar tools — Scarabs and the Atlas Tree — will remain.

Some gameplay mechanics will stay in the project. For instance, the Genesis Tree will continue to function as a way to obtain rewards from the "flesh" of defeated enemies.

However, some elements will be completely removed from the game. Specifically, this concerns the Grafts mechanic, which will cease to exist after the season ends. Players should be aware that upon the league's conclusion, the following will automatically disappear: equipped Grafts, growing Wombgifts, all Implant-type currency, and accumulated stocks of Graftblood. These resources will not be available going forward, so the developers recommend using them for their intended purpose beforehand.

The Path of Exile team expressed gratitude to the players for participating in the league and reminded those wishing to complete remaining challenges that they still have two weeks until the official season closure.

Those eagerly awaiting new challenges are advised to closely follow the announcements: a presentation for update 3.28 is coming soon, which promises to bring fresh content and mechanics to the game.
