The Finnish indie project Road to Vostok is demonstrating impressive momentum: in just a week and a half, sales of the hardcore shooter have surpassed 200,000 copies.

The astounding success was confirmed by developer Antti Lainonen, who noted that the daily online player count consistently holds steady at 43,000 people. The game has already gained an army of modders and maintains a high approval rating on Steam — over 82% positive reviews.

Currently, the author is focused on technical polishing: the next patch, aimed at fixing crashes and bugs, is expected on April 22.

Judging by the growth rate, Road to Vostok is confidently vying for the title of one of the major indie discoveries of the year in its genre.
