Shooter Judas Will Be Almost an RPG — Players Will Be Able to Influence the World and Make Choices

Fans of BioShock and Ken Levine are having a tough time — no new games have been released in the franchise or from the game designer himself since 2013. With every gaming event, I hope for an announcement of either BioShock 4 or the long-awaited Judas. And while the former still seems just as distant, the latter gets closer with each passing year. 2026 gives hope that Judas is already on the final stretch.

Levine calls it his most "reactive" project. Unlike the linear stories of BioShock, here players will be able to directly influence the story through their decisions. "We wanted to create not just a shooter, but a Judas simulator," he explains. "You will decide how she acts, who to trust, and how to deal with the consequences. We spent five years on R&D so that characters react not only to key choices but also to the smallest details of your actions."

The team is paying special attention to the "Villainy" system. It models complex relationships with key characters, which can change depending on your actions. Levine compares it to "juggling plates" — you can't please everyone, and someone will inevitably become your opponent.

Ghost Story Games is actively working on the next stage of development and has begun sharing progress through regular reports. Ahead are new announcements and trailers. All that remains is to wait for the next major gaming show in the hope of finally seeing gameplay.
