Actress Helen Mirren has announced that the second season of the crime series "Gangsterland" will hit screens before the end of 2026.

The 80-year-old star will once again return to the role of Maeve Harrigan. According to the plot, her character, along with her husband Conrad, played by Pierce Brosnan, will continue a fierce struggle for power in London's criminal underworld.

The first season of the project, created under the direction of Guy Ritchie, aired from March to June 2025 and consisted of 10 episodes. Currently, production of the second season is not yet complete, so the premiere is most likely to take place only in the latter part of the year.
