Ólafur Darri Ólafsson has been confirmed for the role of Thor in the upcoming series, as reported by Deadline. News that the star of "Lady Dynamite" and "The Abyss" was in talks to join the project emerged back in December of last year. And, as it appears, the actor has finally gotten his way.
That same December insider report mentioned that the role of Baldur might go to Max Parker ("The Rookie"). It was later revealed that he will play Heimdall.
Recall that filming for the series is reportedly set to begin in March 2026 in Vancouver. The role of Kratos went to Ryan Hurst, known for the series "Sons of Anarchy". He will be joined by Sif, played by Teresa Palmer ("The Fall Guy").
The showrunner is listed as the creator of "Outlander" and "For All Mankind", Ronald D. Moore. And the first two episodes are allegedly to be directed by Fred Tua, known for "Fallout" and "The Boys".
