Press Slams Horror Game Code Violet for Boring Story and Awkward Gameplay

The recent PlayStation exclusive – Code Violet – has been torn apart by the press. According to journalists, almost everything is bad: from the story to the gameplay.

Players also didn't appreciate the horror game about fighting dinosaurs and "slammed" it with a 2.89-star rating out of 5. Journalists hold roughly the same position.

The only merits mentioned were the occasional nice scenery and music. And even then, some sound design choices are overly harsh, out of place, and irritating, like the sounds made by the monsters.

Considering the release was delayed several times, and even so it became the most pre-ordered game in the US and EU PlayStation Store, the community's disappointment is immense. We were expecting something like Dino Crisis, but we got what we got, and at an inflated price to boot.
