Ubisoft Reveals Plans for Second Year of Assassin’s Creed Shadows Support
During a conversation with blogger JorRaptor, the head of post-launch support for Assassin’s Creed Shadows shared preliminary plans for the game's development in its second year of its lifecycle. It was emphasized that all announced features are in the testing phase—some may be canceled or postponed.
According to the information presented, in 2026 the frequency of update releases will likely decrease compared to the first year of support. However, the developers intend to significantly increase the volume of content and the length of the gameplay experience in each release.
Among the key ideas being considered by the team:
- Reworked boss battles. An arena format is planned, where players can face familiar opponents who have gained new abilities and altered builds.
- Expansion of the Corrupted Castles activity. The project involves adding additional challenges and unique rewards within this mode.
- New weapons. The developers are exploring the possibility of adding a short bow for the character Naoe, as well as other weapon options for Yasuke.
- Appearance customization. Players will be able to disable the visual effects of Helix items, as well as customize headwear (mask, hood, or a combination of both).
- Exclusive content. Plans include a mission related to Shao Jun's outfit, as well as an expansion of materials dedicated to the Isu civilization.
- Crossover with Kassandra. Content is expected to appear, similar to the mission from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, allowing interaction with a character from previous installments of the series.
- Animus projects. New initiatives related to this mechanic are announced for 2026. They will bring rewards in the style of classic series installments, including additional legacy outfits.
