The new trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall has been revealed

At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, Konami dropped a dark trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall that also served up something of a surprise: the voice cast includes familiar faces from TV and film. Joining Screen Burn's project are "Lost" alum Terry O'Quinn and Giancarlo Esposito, who you might recognize from "Odyssey" and the series "It: Welcome to Derry." Until now, the main Silent Hill series only flirted with Hollywood in odd ways — remember Maria borrowing Christina Aguilera’s pink outfit from the 1999 Teen Choice Awards? — so this casting feels like a deliberate, slightly theatrical shift in tone.

Townfall will be the series’ first game presented in a 1st-person (1P) view. The setting: 1996, a fog-choked Scottish town called St. Amelia. Instead of the familiar crackling radio that warns you when something approaches, the protagonist carries a portable CRT TV; it’s the device you use to navigate. Small detail, big mood change.

According to the press release, O'Quinn plays Richard — a mysterious figure who lures Simon back to St. Amelia and kicks off the events of Silent Hill: Townfall. As things unfold, Richard’s ties to the town’s darker history don’t stay hidden for long.

Kezia Burrows (Mewgenics, Final Fantasy Tactics) is Zoe, a nurse with a voice that slices through CRT interference to beg Simon to “come back to her.” In the trailer she whispers, “we are all so evil,” which is not exactly a comforting greeting when a spider-legged kaiju is looming out of the mist.

Simon, voiced by Giancarlo Esposito, has his own problems: he’s haunted by “fragments of a past he barely remembers,” and something about St. Amelia keeps pulling him back. Not the best setup for a quiet life.

The game is due out September 24.
