Lunar Festival Returns to MMORPG World of Warcraft

The annual Lunar Festival celebration has begun in the MMORPG World of Warcraft. Dazzling firework flashes illuminate the skies of Azeroth, and the soft moonlight shines especially bright—it's time to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a holiday full of mysteries and challenges.

In 2026, the festival runs from February 16th to March 2nd. Players can look forward to traditional activities and new cosmetic rewards that will become worthy trophies for true connoisseurs of Azeroth's events.

The central challenge of the holiday remains the battle with the demigod Omen on the Moonglade. This challenging fight will require coordination and skill from players: only the bravest heroes can defeat the ancient foe and earn unique rewards.

Beyond the battle, festival participants can honor the ancestors in various corners of Azeroth. By completing special quests, you'll learn more about the ancient traditions of the peoples of the World of Warcraft and receive commemorative souvenirs.

This year, the holiday organizers have prepared several new cosmetic items, which can be purchased from Valadar Starsong on the Moonglade for Coins of Ancestry.

Among the new additions:

  • An exquisite set of patterned purple Lunar Festival vestments for 75 Coins of Ancestry, which will emphasize the spirit of the celebration.
  • A purple Lunar Firecracker—a one-handed mace for 25 Coins of Ancestry, adding bright colors to any festive outing.
  • A majestic steel Lunar Halberd with festive ornamentation will cost the same 25 Coins of Ancestry.
  • A purple Lunar Lantern for 25 Coins of Ancestry—an off-hand accessory emitting a soft magical light.
  • An elegant Obsidian Lunar Blade with engravings in the form of lunar symbols for the same price.
  • A practical and beautiful acquisition will be the Solar Bag with Lunar Fireworks for 25 Coins of Ancestry—a back accessory adorned with miniature fireworks.

To purchase all the new items, you will need to accumulate 200 Coins of Ancestry—a worthy investment in a collection of holiday items.

To join the Lunar Festival, head to the Moonglade and find the key NPCs who will help you start the holiday quests. Collect Coins of Ancestry, battle Omen, complete quests in honor of the ancestors, and don't miss the chance to expand your collection with unique items.
