New John Carpenter's Toxic Commando Trailer Showcases Defender Class Abilities
The zombie shooter John Carpenter's Toxic Commando has received a new trailer. It showcases gameplay for the Defender class and provides more details on its abilities.
The Defender's role is to be a sturdy wall behind which other team members can take cover. To achieve this, the class has a special device that creates a force field. It damages enemies that get too close and grants temporary armor to allies. The second key feature of the class is an increased supply of ammunition and equipment. After all, the best defense is a good offense.
In addition to the Defender, the shooter features:
- Medic — a support hero who restores teammates' health;
- Engineer — a driver and jack-of-all-trades with a helper drone;
- Assault — the main damage dealer with powerful attacks.
To recap, John Carpenter's Toxic Commando is set to release on March 12, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. A demo version is already available to try. Unfortunately, initially it wasn't very well received by gamers, but currently the demo's rating has risen to 71% positive reviews on Steam.
