The first character posters for the Ghost of Tsushima anime have been revealed
Posters for the anime Ghost of Tsushima: Legends have surfaced online, showing several of the characters in bold poses. The series takes cues from the cooperative mode of the game Ghost of Tsushima, but it won't be a straight adaptation — plot threads diverge from the game's scenarios. Expect a samurai, a ronin, an assassin and a hunter to end up confronting mystical beings from Japanese folklore (e.g., yokai and other legendary creatures).
Studio Kamikaze Douga is handling production, with support from Crunchyroll and Aniplex; the release is slated for 2027. Sony first mentioned an anime adaptation in January 2025, and whether the final show matches fan hopes is something we'll have to wait for.
