It appears that the announcement of the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PC version may happen in the near future. This is supported by repeated actions from ESRB, the organization that assigns age ratings to games in North America.

In November 2024, ESRB first published and then removed an M (17+) rating for the PC version of the game. Now, in January 2026, the situation has repeated: the rating reappeared on the website and was once again withdrawn.

Such actions typically indicate that a release is being prepared, but the information was published earlier than the scheduled date. This means that work on porting the game to PC is actively underway, and an official announcement will likely follow planned press releases from Sony and Kojima Productions.
