The End of the Crisis Core Storyline in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis
Wizards of the Coast Returns to the Fallout Universe with New Magic: The Gathering Cards
Two years ago, Wizards of the Coast released a themed expansion for Magic: The Gathering based on the Fallout universe — and it turned out to be quite successful. Although the set included characters and events from the game series, it was released a month before the premiere of the popular TV show, so actors from the show were not represented in it. This situation will be rectified by the end of the current month.
Wizards of the Coast has announced the release of four installments in the "Secret Lair" series, once again dedicated to the world of Fallout. One of them will be entirely devoted to the stars of the TV series. In this release, players will see cards featuring key characters from the show — the Ghoul, Maximus, and Lucy. Moreover, Lucy will receive not only a personal card but will also appear on two others: on Spirit Mantle, she is depicted leaving the Super Duper Mart store in armored power armor, and on Pre-War Formalwear — in a cornfield chaos on the night of her wedding. Maximus will also appear twice; in addition to his personal card, his image is used on the T-60 Power Armor card.
Besides the TV show references, fans can look forward to a collection of five cards inspired by Fallout: New Vegas. This set includes:
- Benny
- Joshua Graham
- Platinum Chip
- Custom Caravan Deck
- Sunset Sarsaparilla Vending Machine
As is often the case in the Secret Lair series, the developers chose to reinterpret existing cards while preserving their mechanics. For example, the Sunset Sarsaparilla Vending Machine works similarly to the Nuka-Cola machine from the core Fallout set: it provides food tokens that can be converted into treasures.
Among other novelties is the return of Dogmeat in five new cards. One is particularly notable: an analog of Sol Ring, designed as a dog bowl with water. Additionally, the Rad Secret Lair release will feature cards themed around mutants and mutations, including The Wise Mothman.
All these new cards will be included in the Rad Superdrop, scheduled for release on January 26.
