The End of Aeternum — Amazon to shut down New World and turn off its servers in 2027 Amazon Games has officially announced that it will discontinue support for its ambitious MMORPG New World: Aeternum.

This decision was the final nail in the coffin for a project that, despite a strong start and a recent console release, was unable to maintain a stable audience.

As of January 15, the game has been officially removed from all stores (Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store). New players can no longer purchase it.

On July 20, the sale of in-game currency will be discontinued. All microtransactions will be disabled.

On January 31, 2027, the game servers will be permanently shut down on all platforms. After this date, access to the world of Eternum will no longer be possible.
