The Elder Scrolls 6 is being developed on the good old Creation Engine.
Rockhounds Developers Summarize Second Week of Playtests
The team behind the game Rockhounds has announced the conclusion of the second week of playtests. The developers received a lot of valuable feedback from players and have already implemented a number of improvements, which were detailed in a recent update.
The developers have adjusted the size and position of mission banners: they now interfere less with gameplay. Target indicators have been improved — they no longer hide behind other UI elements, and their new design better shows the direction of movement. Furthermore, missions now feature messages from Megacorp, adding to the atmosphere.
An issue on the deploy screen has been fixed: players are no longer removed from the ready state when switching to the briefing screen. The ore quantity is now displayed on the other side of the screen — this separates team resources from the player's personal supplies.
Important changes have been made regarding the resource extraction mechanics. The required amount of Space Coal in low-risk missions now matches the maximum — this reduces the temptation to continue mining and risk mission failure. The negative effects of exhaustion and stamina consumption have been reduced. Movement abilities no longer consume stamina on the base or on the ship — this simplifies movement in safe zones.
- The shockwave effect for the Miner's dodge roll has been restored.
- The duration of the legendary pulse wave visual effect has been corrected — it now matches the upgrade's specifications.
- An issue with machine gun turrets has been resolved: they can once again hit fire-spitting worms.
- Navigation and enemy knockback bugs that could cause enemies to freeze in place have been eliminated.
- A bug that prevented players from picking up another player's backpack after respawning has been fixed.
- The ability for enemies to deal damage through walls has been removed.
- Issues that occurred when players joined an already active mission have been resolved.
- Explosions no longer push enemies through buildable walls.
Additionally, the visual effects of smoke coming from the Space Coal silo have been improved.
