In an exclusive interview, franchise executive producer Julian Gerighty confirmed that work on The Division 3 is underway at the Massive Entertainment studio. The project is in its early stages but already shows ambitious scope.

Gerighty, recently appointed as the head of the entire series, stated that the team intends to recreate the "cultural phenomenon" of the first installment in 2016. "We are working incredibly hard to achieve something of the same powerful impact," he noted.

The main goal of the developers is to bring back the sense of novelty and profound impact on the gaming industry that the original game was known for.

Although specific details about the setting, gameplay, and release date are not disclosed, it's clear that Ubisoft is making a serious investment in this project, entrusting it to key studio veterans.
