The director of the indie horror film adaptation of Iron Lung doesn't want to be known only for video game movies.
Blogger Markiplier, who is also the director of the extremely successful adaptation of the indie horror game Iron Lung, spoke about his plans for the future. He believes he is capable of creating another quality adaptation of some video game. However, the blogger does not want to trap himself in a particular perception. In the eyes of the public, Markiplier reminded that he first became famous for his own original content. Moving forward, the blogger also does not want to lose his creative spark, but he hints that the next film will once again be an adaptation of a video game. At the same time, there is no need to expect a premiere anytime soon — Markiplier wants to spend more time with his wife before starting a new project.
Meanwhile, the film "Iron Lung" remains in theaters — since late January it has grossed over $48 million, while the budget was only four million. Markiplier does not rule out buying Blu-ray discs, recording the horror movie on them, and starting to sell the film in an online store. Also, the director decided to build a "render farm" himself, setting it up over several months in the bathroom using old servers bought on eBay. Yes, certain scenes of the Iron Lung adaptation became possible thanks to this improvised studio, whose setup cost less than hiring special effects professionals.
