World of Sea Battle MMO Developers Unveil Extensive 2026 Update Roadmap
The developers of World of Sea Battle have revealed a comprehensive update plan for 2026. Players can expect a series of major updates that will bring new content, thematic events, and significant changes to game mechanics.
In the first quarter of 2026, update V19 "New Horizon" will be released. The team has significantly expanded the game world and deepened key mechanics. Players can now begin the first part of the "Archipelago Exploration" quest system, titled "Regions." In each region of the Archipelago, a special object can be discovered: studying it unveils secrets of the world's history and grants a reward.
Imperial-class ships have received unique skills. For instance, the Deadfish gained the "Fury" ability, temporarily boosting defense and damage after taking hits. The Devourer can now activate "Wind Tamer," which makes the ship's movement independent of wind direction. And the Black Prince received the "Truce" skill, which removes aggression from NPC ships.
Furthermore, all ship classes have acquired special passive properties.
- Fast ships received increased falconet firing range,
- combat ships — a slight increase in cannon range,
- heavy ships — reduced damage from mortars,
- merchant ships — enhanced mine and barrel damage,
- siege ships — increased falconet damage,
- and imperial ships — reduced ramming damage.
The flag system underwent serious changes: "dangerous waters" have been removed from the center of the map, and the bonuses and penalties of flags and black marks have been reworked. The developers also updated the logbook interface, making it more convenient and informative.
In March, the thematic "Spring Festival" event will begin. Simultaneously, players will gain the ability to transfer accounts and access a new Asian server.
In the second quarter of 2026, update V20 "Sea Supremacy" will be released. It will continue the Archipelago story, introducing the second part of the quest system — "Collections." Players will now be able to collect items from different categories and receive rewards for complete sets. The fleet will be expanded with four new ships, and the faction and guild development system will become deeper, featuring new bonuses and seasonal rewards. In June, the celebratory "Game Birthday" event will take place, marking the project's anniversary.
In the second half of 2026, players can expect update V21 "Through the Storm." It will make the Endless Sea one of the central elements of the game. New locations, resources, gameplay mechanics, and economic systems will be added. Exploring the sea will become the pinnacle of gameplay. Additionally, the developers will rework the shipyard structure and introduce new ships. In October, the atmospheric "Halloween" event will take place, immersing players in the holiday's mystical atmosphere.
The year will conclude with update V22, slated for release at the end of 2026. It will introduce a new system for port battles and city ownership. The developers intend to make this activity accessible to more guilds by reworking the defense and "upgrading" systems. Polishing of content added in previous updates will also be conducted, improving balance, interface, and gameplay mechanics. The year will end with the festive "Christmas and New Year" event, running from December through January.
The developers emphasize that the presented plan is just a foundation. It may be refined and supplemented throughout the year. In addition to major updates, players can expect regular minor fixes, balance improvements, and unexpected surprises.
