The Metroidvania MIO: Memories in Orbit, notable for its picturesque art style, has received a new trailer. In it, the developers remind us that the cute art design is merely a smokescreen meant to conceal the hardcore gameplay.
The game world is teeming with deadly dangers, be it tough bosses or various traps. And overcoming most of them will require hitting precise timings. To illustrate this for the audience, several such segments were shown. Based on these, it's already clear that this Metroidvania will be an excellent challenge for speedrun enthusiasts. And for regular gamers as well.
To recap, in MIO: Memories In Orbit, we will control an agile robot with unusual abilities. It is set to journey through the vast technological ship "The Ark," full of lush vegetation and machines gone haywire.
The game's release on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and two generations of Switch is scheduled for January 20, 2026. A rather lengthy demo version has been available for PC and Xbox Series users since the summer.
