THE FINALS Shooter Update Brings New Rewards and Map Optimization

The developers of THE FINALS have released an update introducing numerous changes to the game, ranging from bug fixes and balance adjustments to fresh in-game events and exclusive rewards. A significant bonus is that the consequences of recent DDoS attacks have been largely mitigated, and the game has returned to stable operation.

One of the key changes involves updated rules for the Display Name in the Embark ID system. This is a step in the fight against violators: the new requirements make it easier for moderation tools to identify offensive nicknames. If a player's name did not comply with the updated rules, it was automatically changed. Players can choose a new one in the settings by navigating to Settings > Social > Account > Edit Embark ID. However, some users mistakenly received a notification about a possible permanent ban — the developers promptly apologized for the misunderstanding and clarified that the warnings were intended only for those whose names were clearly unacceptable.

Fans of the Embark universe can rejoice over an exclusive reward: by linking ARC Raiders and THE FINALS accounts through a single Embark ID, players receive the Voltage Marauder Set. The process is extremely simple — after connecting the accounts, the reward appears automatically.

The in-game store has been updated with stylish new items. The Peak-Form Striker and Slope Slammer sets will allow for spectacular eliminations, while the Finger Guns accessory will be a concise and expressive addition to any arsenal.

A new event, Orbital Breach, has begun in the arena, introducing significant adjustments to combat tactics. It combines two mechanics: Hackout, which allows players to see opponents through walls, and Orbital Lasers, which attack those who remain in one place for too long. This opens up new strategic opportunities but requires increased vigilance from players — opponents can also use these tools to their advantage.

For fans of unique styles, the Glitch Prowler Set DLC has been released. Its design, inspired by feline grace, combines a cute appearance with combat effectiveness: this look can lull opponents into a false sense of security before delivering a decisive strike.

The development team has continued working on performance optimization. The current update implements dozens of minor fixes for the Bernal, Nozomi, and Seoul locations. While individual improvements may not be immediately noticeable, they lay the groundwork for long-term enhancement of the gaming experience. The developers emphasize that this is only part of a larger plan — further optimizations are expected in upcoming patches.
