The developers of Knight's Path introduced a new female character and faced criticism again for unrealistic proportions

Indie studio Jan Tichota, developing the fantasy medieval action game Knight’s Path, revealed a first look at a new female character — Veronika. The backstory: once-noble family, lost fortune, now in service to Lady Elena. Her constant companion is a cat. The design has stirred the usual online noise: some users complained that "her breasts are too large for such thinness" and called the proportions unnatural. The developers pushed back, noting that there are real women with large breasts and slim waists — an answer that did little to calm the debate. This isn’t new for Knight’s Path; earlier controversies involved the romantic character Amelia (some people objected to her, saying her makeup looked "modern") and the studio’s choice not to add non-traditional romance options, which the devs described as a "contemporary agenda." Activists attacked the fantasy action Knight's Path again when the developers simply showed a woman in a long dress.

Knight’s Path is an indie action RPG set in low fantasy, with a strong narrative bent. Players go from outcast to knight, learn HEMA-style combat, and roam environments ranging from woods and villages to the city of Eranthold — exploration matters here, w/ story beats driving much of the progression. The small dev team had help from folks who worked on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, so some of the combat pedigree is intentional.
