The developers of Final Fantasy 14 have launched a website dedicated to update 7.5 Trail to the Heavens

On the eve of the release of patch 7.5 Trail to the Heavens for Final Fantasy 14, a special website went up, offering extra screenshots and a few fresh hints about what the update will bring.

The story thread picks up after the devastation of the Leaven lands of the Ninth. The Warrior of Light (WoL) and their companions pick up the investigation into the key, but a worrying dispatch from a trusted ally threatens to throw them off course — and not in a neat, predictable way.

The site also drops clues about a new dungeon and a new trial. The dungeon is said to be a former central manufactory of the Garlean Empire, now suffering a “terrifying invasion” (the phrasing feels deliberately ominous). As announced earlier, the upcoming trial will be Enuo.

More specifics are slated for the next Live Letter, scheduled for Friday, April 17. Traditionally the second producer segment in each patch cycle digs into combat systems and broader system changes — e.g., balance adjustments, QoL tweaks — so expect deeper technical notes then, though details will have to wait.
