The delay was short-lived — NVIDIA has released DLSS 4.5 for all RTX users
NVIDIA has officially released DLSS 4.5 from beta testing, making it available to all GeForce RTX graphics card owners through the updated NVIDIA App. The main innovation is the second version of the Transformer model, which is responsible for image scaling. According to the developers, the updated algorithm is five times more complex than the previous one, which allows for incredible clarity and virtually eliminates gating. The price of these improvements, of course, is performance — especially on RTX 20 and RTX 30, which can lose up to 30% FPS from replacing the DLSS preset with "M."
Along with graphics improvements, the NVIDIA App has gained a number of useful features. All remaining options from the classic NVIDIA control panel, including Surround settings and monitor bezel correction, have been moved to the display settings section. For gaming laptop owners, a convenient indicator has been added: the system now displays the full names of programs that interfere with Advanced Optimus technology. A "Debug Mode" has also been added, allowing you to reset all overclocking and voltage settings with a single click to check system stability.
