The creators of Black Myth inspired a new "soulslike": Longevity: Yin and Yang announced

China's game scene keeps pushing into AAA territory. After the surprise hit Black Myth: Wukong, studio 11 Games has revealed a new soulslike, Longevity: Yin and Yang, built in Unreal Engine 5.

Set in the Ming dynasty, the plot mixes recorded events with folklore and the supernatural. You play an agent from the imperial elite guard, Jinwei; Emperor Jiajing — obsessed with living forever — sends him out on a perilous assignment. Along the route there are both human foes (e.g., Japanese pirates) and uncanny sentinels that stand between the protagonist and the secret of immortality.

Visually and mechanically the team seems to be aiming for spectacle first. Critics are already drawing parallels to God of War and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, though comparisons don’t tell the whole story. Combat revolves around a "Yin and Yang" system: timed perfect dodges build up energy that can be spent on brutal combo finishers — a mechanic that rewards rhythm and timing rather than button-mashing.

The single-player campaign is advertised at 40–50 hrs and includes puzzles plus open-world exploration. 11 Games say they did field research and archaeological work to recreate period temples, deserts, and local myths — examples cited include the famed "Loulan Beauty."

Officially the title is PC-only for now (PC), yet industry whispers suggest a console port is likely. No release date has been announced; we'll have to wait for more details.
