Last month, publishers Action Taimanin and Taimanin GOGO, Gremory Games, announced a free turn-based RPG Taimanin Squad, a brand new game in the series about sexy ninjas from Lilith studio. The game has garnered over 50,000 registrations in less than 10 days since its announcement, and with the release scheduled for early 2026, the developers have announced the start of open beta testing on January 15. Currently, the beta version is only available in The plot of Taimanin Squad unfolds on the fictional abandoned island of Tokyo Royal City. Located 10 km off the coast of Tokyo Bay, Tokyo Royal City was built with financial support from the Japanese government and was supposed to become the country's luxurious "second metropolis." However, the project was eventually abandoned, turning the metropolis into a veritable "ghost town" overrun by criminals and demons, where the strong rule over the weak.

To save the remaining civilians and restore order to the chaos-stricken island, the Taimanins and the United Federation of American-Pacific States sent their troops to deal with the tyrants controlling the city. However, prioritizing the safety of citizens, they decided to retreat, ultimately creating a last line of defense at the entrance to the Tokyo Royal Bridge, which is the only route connecting Tokyo Royal City with mainland Japan.

In Taimanin Squad, players must form squads of up to four people and destroy hordes of enemies. According to the official website, the game will feature over 150 unique characters, many of whom are iconic Taimanin from previous games, such as Asagi Igawa, Kirara Onisaki, and Mizuki Shiranui.

Although the game features a classic turn-based combat system, the huge roster of characters will allow players to try out many different squad combinations and develop unique tactics. In addition, you will be able to build relationships with your favorite characters and unlock their personal scenarios. During these scenarios, you'll learn some details about which characters get along with each other or share a common history, and if you combine these characters in a squad, you'll unlock special team attacks and abilities.
