The Authors of the Upcoming Code Violet Failure Made Another Mistake: They Started Spouting Complete Nonsense About the Game's Reviews

The developers of the PlayStation exclusive Code Violet, TeamKill Media, have publicly rejected criticism of their project. The game received catastrophically low scores from reviewers (40/100 on Metacritic and 44 points on OpenCritic). There is no doubt that tomorrow we will witness the first major flop in the gaming industry in 2026.

In a statement, the studio emphasized that it creates games "for fans, not for critics," pointing to players who enjoy its "outdated" old-school gameplay. However, negative reviews are also being left by the buyers themselves: on the PlayStation Store, the game has a rating of 2.93/5, with 46% of the ratings being one or two stars.

Previously, TeamKill Media had already drawn attention by canceling the PC release to prevent the creation of "vulgar" mods for the main heroine. And at the same time, they stuffed the game with paid erotic skins.

It will be very interesting to read in a week or two who the developers will blame for the fiasco.
