The team behind Splitgate: Arena Reloaded (Splitgate 2) watched peak concurrent numbers slide — their online player base fell below 1,000 ppl (players). Devs (devs) pointed out that Steam charts are an incomplete window into actual activity and overall interest.
They argued those public stats miss parts of the picture and, insistently, that the community itself is in a solid place. The authors thanked everyone helping to shape the shooter and said they’ll keep listening to feedback — a short, direct note of appreciation rather than a data rebuttal.
A quick reminder: the title returned this summer, then the launch met a harsh response and was rolled back to beta; layoffs followed, and the studio opted for a relaunch. The revamped release was christened Splitgate: Arena Reloaded, and the studio shared development plans (info).
Still, the raw figures — online peaks and the Steam rating — aren’t flattering. By those measures, Arena Reloaded looks no better than the original title, according to the same public-facing data set (see the online player base link).
