The authors of Grim Dawn made concessions and weakened many enemies for the casual players.
Crate Entertainment studio pushed a patch for the game Grim Dawn after the new expansion arrived. Instead of leaving newcomers to fend for themselves, the devs added control settings and softened some of the nastier foes so players who prefer a less brutal pace can enjoy the content.
The main change lets you turn off the spawn of a particularly nasty enemy called Horror. That decision came after heated community threads about surprise ambushes — and, honestly, I don’t blame anyone who bitched; those moments can be infuriating. Devs also rebalanced early bosses and adjusted the dodge mechanic; small QoL tweaks that alter how fights feel.
This update landed right after the title set a record for concurrent players. The expansion pulled a lot of eyes (and controllers) into Cairn all at once, which probably sped up the need for fixes.
