Take-Two's CEO called PC an important platform - it seems we won't have to wait long for GTA 6 to come out on computers
Grand Theft Auto 6 Set for November 2026 Console Launch, PC Version Still Unannounced
Rockstar's next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series will arrive on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version has not been announced for that date.
Take-Two Interactive head Strauss Zelnick addressed the company's platform strategy during an online shareholders' meeting, noting that the PC market continues to gain weight in the publisher's business. He said Take-Two aims to bring its games to every device with a substantial audience, adding: "The degree of importance of the PC market for our company is constantly growing."
Zelnick did not discuss GTA 6 specifically and offered no confirmation that a PC version is in development. Rockstar's recent track record, however, shows a consistent pattern of console-first releases followed by PC ports months later: Grand Theft Auto V arrived on PC roughly 18 months after its console debut, while Red Dead Redemption 2 took about a year.
According to Zelnick, a delayed PC launch is not merely a logistical necessity but also a commercial opening. He noted that PC once accounted for around 5% of NBA 2K sales, whereas a major project today can see that figure reach 45–50%. A separate PC release can also generate a second sales cycle, as some players buy the game again on another platform.
No official PC release date for GTA 6 exists at this point. Still, Zelnick's latest remarks add context: with the computer market growing in importance, the idea of a relatively early PC version no longer seems far-fetched. VGC journalist Andy Robinson, known for reliable insider reporting, has previously raised such a scenario. A quick PC release remains unlikely, but Zelnick's comments leave open the possibility that GTA 6 could reach computers sooner than many anticipate.
