Tactical gameplay and diverse heroes in the overview trailer of star wars zero company

The studio Bit Reactor published a gameplay overview trailer for Star Wars: Zero Company. The new clip doesn't just tease — it walks through what you'll actually be doing in the game, from tense tactical skirmishes to how you kit out the lead and tinker with your base (some bits feel more improvisational than polished, imo).

Set near the end of the Clone Wars, the plot centers on Hawks — a former Republic officer who, for reasons you discover as you play, ends up in charge of a scrappy merc crew called Zero Company. Under Hawks' watch they run into a galaxy-sized problem that won't be solved by straightforward tactics alone.

This is a cinematic, often tense story where you command top-tier pilots and operatives during tactical ops, investigations, and other set pieces. Adaptation matters — both in HQ and on shifting battlefields — so choices carry weight and change later scenes (i.e., no two runs are identical).

Build a squad with mixed archetypes — think scoundrels, astromechs, even Jedi — and pick abilities from a large pool to outmaneuver foes. Characters learn on the job and can form teamwork synergies that swing fights; you can shape Hawk’s combat role and appearance, and add original or player-made Star Wars characters, customizing looks, gear, and skills to match your playstyle (e.g., role focus, loadout, or quirks that affect NPCs).

Star Wars: Zero Company will be released on August 27 for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series without Russian localization — which, frankly, will be a disappointment for some fans.
