Naoki Hamaguchi, the development lead for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, has introduced a set of new features designed to significantly simplify and speed up the game's completion. The main innovation is the "God Mode," which grants characters infinite HP, MP, and ATB, allowing them to endlessly use the most powerful abilities and magic. This turns even the most challenging boss battles into a spectacular show, eliminating the element of stress.

Furthermore, the game now includes the ability to fast-forward cutscenes, allowing players to spend more time on actual gameplay. As Hamaguchi jokes, with these options, the Remake can now be completed in a single day.

However, the goal of these changes is not just about speed. The developer emphasizes that they are intended to allow every player to enjoy the epic story of Cloud and his friends at a comfortable pace, without feeling constrained by the traditional JRPG difficulties or a lack of time.
