Chinese studio S-GAME has announced the release of the action game Phantom Blade Zero for September 9th on PC and PS5. The game, which has gathered over a million wishlists on Steam in just 15 days, has entered its final stages of development.

The studio's CEO, Liang Ciwei, reiterated that Phantom Blade Zero is not a soulslike nor a pure slasher, but a multilayered semi-open sandbox game with a combat system based on Chinese martial arts. To maintain difficulty balance, settings have been provided to make the game accessible to a wider audience.
