Step-by-Step Musical Game People of Note Takes the Stage on April 7th
A trailer announcing the release date for People of Note.
Annapurna Interactive and Iridium Studios announced the release date for the musical RPG titled People of Note. The game will launch on PC and consoles on April 7th, priced at $24.99, with a 10% discount promised at launch.
People of Note combines turn-based combat with musical performances. The story centers on pop singer Cadence. Judges disqualify her from a song contest, deeming her solo performances insufficiently convincing. The heroine then embarks on a journey across the world of Nota to assemble her own band.
Cadence visits the rock city of Durandis, then stops by the capital of the electronic scene, Lumnia, and searches for talented musicians in other corners of the world. But the tour quickly turns into something more. A Harmonic Convergence disrupts the balance of musical energy, and a conspiracy brews behind the scenes. The team will have to do more than just conquer the stage; they must save music itself.
The combat system revolves around rhythm. Each battle looks like an interactive concert: conditions change on the fly, tempo influences the strength of attacks, and genres can be combined to create mashups. Players will have to adapt their attacks to the music, switch styles, and empower the team through a good sense of rhythm.
The creators promise cinematic performances in various genres, a vast world with a unique atmosphere for each musical direction, and dungeons with unusual enemies and puzzles. At the same time, the game can be customized: puzzles can be turned off or the combat can be simplified if that format isn't to your liking.
You can thoroughly enjoy the music and save the world of Nota in People of Note on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, though without Russian language support. A demo version of the project is available on Valve's platform.
