Steam Attracts Over 42 Million Users for the First Time
Just a week after the previous peak, Steam has set a new online record: Gabe Newell has gathered over 42 million subjects under his banner at once.
Otherwise, the picture is classic for such a situation. The record gathering happened on Sunday evening Moscow time, with slightly less than a third of the total online users actually in games. The lion's share of players was taken by the perennial big three free-to-play titles with all their conventions—Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and PUBG: Battlegrounds—as well as the extremely popular ARC Raiders over the last couple of months.
